Restaurants compete for the Best Burger in Coral Gables at the 13th Annual Burgerliscious Block Party

Coral Gables’ finest restaurants competed head to head to see who has the tastiest burgers in the city in this year’s Burgerliscious block party, presented by the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and Bean Automotive Group.

The Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce has organized this block party for the past 13 years, benefitting local restaurants in and around Coral Gables. It’s a great opportunity for new restaurants to introduce their delicious meals to hundreds of potential new customers and for established restaurants to connect with their community.

Over a dozen restaurants prepared burger samples for attendees and event judges. Some South Florida favorites like Truluck’s Oceans Finest Seafood & Crab, Morton’s the Steakhouse, Bulla Gastrobar, and John Martin’s participated in the competition.

Coral Gables Mayor Vince Lago, Bean Automotive Group Dealer Principal Lori Bean, and other community leaders were the judges for the competition and sampled every restaurant’s delicious creation. In addition to the judges, attendees at the event got to voice their opinion and vote for who’s burger they liked the most for the People’s Choice Champion. In the end, Americana Kitchen at the Lowes Coral Gables Hotel won Best in Bun for their delicious Chef’s Blend Burger the judges loved. The People’s Choice Champion was Pincho with a delicious burger topped with goat cheese, they collected the most votes from attendees.

Bean Automotive Group has been a Title sponsor of Burgerliscious for the last 4 years, celebrating the incredible work local restaurants do every day. This year’s block party broke records, selling over 1,000 tickets with 15 restaurants participating.
