An evening full of gratitude and inspiration, PhilanthropyMiami’s 2024 Donor Next Door Celebration recognizes the passion and commitment of Miami’s most generous donors. Donor Next Door provides an amazing opportunity for organizations to publicly recognize their most valued donors and volunteers, all while bringing awareness to their mission.
At this year’s event, Live Like Bella® Childhood Cancer Foundation wanted to recognize Bean Automotive Group Dealer Principal, Lori Bean, for her outstanding leadership and commitment to supporting children battling cancer. Since 2017, Lori has dedicated herself to supporting Live Like Bella’s mission to fund childhood cancer research and help families dealing with the disease.

Live Like Bella celebrates important milestone at their annual Ball
The Bean Automotive Group Bella’s Ball plays an important role in raising money for the foundation, so they can continue helping families dealing with cancer and fund research projects to help find a cure for the disease. For the 2023 ball, supporters were able to raise over $100,000 for the foundation, surpassing their fundraising goal. Cancer is the number one cause of death by disease for children in America, and with help from foundations like Live Like Bella®, there is hope for a brighter future with more children beating this disease.

The Bean Team is all in for Live Like Bella during the pandemic
Every year, thousands of Bella Believers from all over the world join together to run and walk a 5K course through Zoo Miami. For 2021, the Live Like Bella Superhero 5K was held as a virtual event on Saturday, March 20. Individuals from all over the world united virtually to support the fight against childhood cancer, with over 100 participants being Bean Automotive Group associates. At Bean Auto, we’ve always believed it is important to serve our community and we are proud to be able to lead by example with our incredible associates who take their commitment to the next level. Keeping in mind social distancing guidelines, the Bean Team created an outdoor 5K course which allowed for Bean employees to walk or run while maintaining social distancing.

All out for all in need during a tough holiday season
Every year, Bean Automotive Group puts their vision “to be the leading automotive group within the industry, serving their customers, associates and communities” into action, especially during this holiday season dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Practicing their involvement in giving back to the community is their top priority every day which is why the Bean Team helped host the Live Like Bella Turkey Drive at Lexus of West Kendall. Together, the team distributed 300 turkeys to families in need, right before the Thanksgiving holiday.

All Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
As the number one supporters of Live Like Bella, Bean Automotive Group plays an important role in helping the foundation organize events around the community. Kendall Toyota sponsored the Bella Bike Ride, where Miami-Dade Police Officers biked all the way to Key West in honor of children battling cancer and to raise money for Live Like Bella. As the officers made their way to the Keys on their bikes, officials in a Toyota Sienna drove alongside them to ensure the officers’ safety to the destination.
