Congratulations to Melissa Abril-Dotel the 2024 Francisco R. Walker Miami-Dade County Teacher of the Year as well as the winner of a new 2024 Toyota Corolla!

Bean Automotive Group and Kendall Toyota are proud to have sponsored the Teacher of the Year recognition ceremony again this year with United Teachers of Dade after a tradition of doing so since 2011.

Melissa Abril-Dotel is a second-grade teacher at North Beach Elementary School. She inspires her students through a relationship-centered classroom style. Melissa listens and interacts with her students creating a trusting environment in the classroom.
