Friendship Circle Miami is a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to families with children, teens, and adults with disabilities. Through the organization, individuals with special needs are able to build lifelong friendships and attend programs to further enrich their lives.

For 15 years, Friendship Circle Miami has hosted their Bean Automotive Group Walking4Friendship 3k and Community Carnival to raise money and awareness for individuals with special needs. This year, and for the first time ever, Bean Automotive Group was the exclusive title sponsor for the event. Over 800 people attended the event held at Kendall Indian Hammocks Park, bringing the community together and creating an inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of their abilities. There were fun games, a petting zoo, arts and crafts, and an award ceremony honoring the donors and sponsors of the event.

Friendship Circle Miami’s Directors Rabbi Yossi Harlig and his wife, Nechama Harlig, presented Bean Automotive Group with an award, honoring their strong support and partnership with the organization. “We are all here today as a community to help and take care of Friendship Circle,” said Lori Bean, Bean Automotive Group Dealer Principal. “We’re here for an incredible cause and can’t thank you enough for your support,” said Chris Roberts, Bean Automotive Group President and CEO.

Proceeds from this event will also go directly to Friendship Circle Miami’s new Friendship Campus construction. The new extended campus will allow Friendship Circle to quadruple the number of families they serve and will include custom spaces for new programs dedicated to a diverse spectrum of children and adults with special needs.

Currently, Friendship Circle Miami is operating from a temporary location until the campus is finished. Volunteers and staff are focusing on providing fun experiences and field trips that teach important life skills. Kendall Toyota has been one of their field trip locations for the last few years, and Friendship Circle Miami recently visited the service facility. Kendall Toyota service technicians and managers showed everyone how to inspect a car and look for issues. The kids and teens learned how to check the car’s tires, lights, wipers, air filters, and more. After the lesson, the service managers gave everyone a tour of Kendall Toyota’s large service facility and showed them the whole process from when a customer’s car enters the facility, to when the car is finished and brought back to the customer.
